The City of Williamsburg’s Streets Division will begin work on a more permanent outdoor dining configuration for Prince George Street on Monday, July 24, 2023.
The crews will install the first of three bumpouts, which extend the sidewalk out into the street, in front of Amber Ox Public House on the 500 block of Prince George Street. Each bumpout is expected to take four weeks to complete, weather permitting.
The bumpouts have been designed to occupy the same space currently occupied by the temporary outdoor dining configuration.
The sidewalk, businesses, and eastbound travel lane will remain open throughout the construction.
The City has worked closely with the businesses along Prince George Street to coordinate a schedule, with the businesses determining the timeframe that suited them best.
