The City of Williamsburg is asking the public to provide input on the City’s priorities for the next two years through an online survey.
The survey can be found at williamsburgva.gov/giosurvey22. It closes at 11:59 p.m., Friday, Oct. 7. The survey opened to the wider public online on Monday, Sept. 26, 2022. Attendees at the City’s recent Future Festivals have been encouraged to fill out a paper version of the same survey.
Every two years, the Williamsburg City Council identifies strategic objectives for the City government. The Goals, Initiatives, and Outcomes (GIO) document is an expression of the City’s priorities. This GIO-specific survey aims to collect what citizens feel the City’s focus should be over the next two years.
Since the 1990s, the City has engaged in the GIO process to establish a two-year work plan. In lieu of the public input sessions typically held as a part of this process, the City has hosted a series of Future Festivals throughout the City. The last Future Festival will be held in Crim Dell Meadow on the William & Mary campus from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022.
