8th Annual Adventure Race Returns to Williamsburg

The 8th annual Great Williamsburg Adventure Race will feature over a dozen local businesses and organizations in a multi-day adventure race throughout the City of Williamsburg from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25.

Teams of two or four players will complete a series of challenges and puzzles inspired by the City’s culture, history, and businesses. Players should be ready to solve riddles, decode clues, and take on a wide variety of interactive challenges in a race to win a prize pack of gifts donated by local businesses.

After two years as a modified multi-day event, the Great Williamsburg Adventure Race is returning to its original format: a one afternoon, three-hour competition throughout downtown Williamsburg.

“We’re so excited to have a one-day event again,” said race producer Adam Stackhouse. “We have some new twists to keep returning teams on their toes.”

Following the race, an awards ceremony will be held at the Crim Dell Meadow where puzzle answers will be revealed, and the winners will be announced.

The adventure race, billed as the City’s signature annual town-gown event, is produced by AVAdventure Productions with support from the City of Williamsburg.

Registration is open now via williamsburgadventurerace.com. Tickets are required for all participants, and registration is free for teams consisting of current William & Mary students. For more information visit williamsburgadventurerace.com.
