[ARCHIVED] City Launches Phase 3 of COVID Relief Grants for Small Businesses

The City of Williamsburg has launched Phase 3 of the COVID-19 Small Business Grant Program to reimburse small businesses for rent or mortgage expenses during the coronavirus pandemic.

This grant program is run in partnership with York County and the City of Poquoson.

This third and final phase of the grant offers up to six months of rent or mortgage reimbursement and no more than $15,000 for businesses in the three participating localities that were negatively impacted by the pandemic. Businesses must have employed 20 or fewer full-time-equivalent employees at some point since March 12, 2020. To qualify, applicants must have been in business prior to March 12, 2020.

Businesses can receive no more than a total of $15,000 through this program; if a business received funds under Phase 1 and/or Phase 2 of this program, that amount will count toward the $15,000 total.

The program is funded by a Community Development Block Grant through the Virginia Department of Housing & Community Development.

The application form for the COVID-19 Small Business Grant along with program guidelines and a full list of eligibility requirements is available online at yeswilliamsburg.com/cdbggrant.
