Welcome to the Williamsburg Police Department's website. We encourage you to call or visit us if there is any way we can assist you. If you have never traveled to Williamsburg, please put us on your list of places to visit.

Williamsburg is a great community, centrally located between Richmond and Virginia Beach. We are a diverse community with activities that appeal to families, students, adults, and retirees. We offer world-class dining, arts, education, and shopping opportunities as well as plenty to do outdoors, including parks, biking, fishing, and golf. We are the first planned community in the United States and celebrate our rich history with Colonial Williamsburg, a living history and art museum. We are also home to William and Mary, a "Public Ivy" and the second oldest institution of higher education in the United States.

The Williamsburg Police Department is a 40+ sworn department, comprised of highly trained community-engaged staff. We are committed to partnering with our community and value service, integrity, respect for all, and quality through continuous improvement.

Please take a few minutes to learn more about the Williamsburg Police Department. We are here to serve. We take every opportunity to make Williamsburg a quality place for you and your family to live, work, play, and explore our rich history.
